Loving the Google PageRank gift

The world of blogging or should I say, professional blogging, was shaken this week by Google's PageRank update. Some bloggers were slapped and received a drop on their PageRank including Carl, John - who is still quite bitter with the slap, Darren and Abe while the rest of the world receives a boost. A few sites that now has a higher PR are SLTopSites, Kabalyero and Torley - who has a new post regarding CSI: NY in Second Life.

Earlier, Cynara and I talked and remember lots of things from our Second Life. From camping to get the stuff we wanted, working for 4 hours a day to earn linden dollars, searching camping spots... the way our avatars look and many more.

Yesterday, I did not post because of a little experiment. I want to see if this blog will get enough visitors and still make the same amount of cash that I get everyday even without an update.

Weirdly enough I even earned more

The experiment failed. The number of visitors dropped down 40% less. However, I received 4$ USD yesterday from the google ads and 3200L$ linden dollars from the affiliate programs. I'm wondering why this thing happened even if I did not update the blog.

"Spamming groups inside Second Life will only turn people off." Andy Evans, CEO of First Opinions sent this message a while ago to people who are actively earning money for their Affiliate Program.

I totally agree with this point. I remember residents from "Filipino" group telling me that they don't want some individual in the group because they always send spam. Same goes to "Avilion Order"-- a medieval group. They've been sharing to me their experience on group spammers and thanking me because I don't do this on their group.
